It's All About That Walk

I have this strange habit of looking at a persons shoes and figuring out what type of personality they have. It is not really a judgement but more an observation. I like to try and decide what type of conversation we will have.

For tropical vacations flip flops and sandals are worn most of the time and for men try the beach shoe.

I still retreat to me flip flops but I think there needs to be some sort of detail, and no more of those silly Old Navy foam...they look cheap and break a lot. Instead try Nine West, they make great embellished flip flop sandals and some are even jelly flops. 

These are a few great options for pool side :) 

 

Since my favorite season for shoes is here I want to share some obvious favorites like boots and embellished flats as well as some new finds like loafer style, chunky heels and Nude. One of my favorite stores to shop for shoes is Nordstrom, it is great to go there during sales and when the new season collections are released so you can see what is hot for the season!


For heels and pumps I always have a good pair or two of black, but lately punches of color on feet gives some great personality. 

 



Also a good neutral color plain or with some sparkle :)...just make sure that with nude shoes, you pick a color similar to your skin tone. PLEASE! It looks bad when it does not match. Here is a selection of heels and booties 

 

 

As for boots.. I have a slight problem with boots, I am obsessed. So I tried narrowing it to a few good ones as there are SO MANY out this time. Lace up boots and fringe are amazing, also over the knee riding boots and the motorcycle boot is always a good choice. 

 
 

As for flats...you really cannot go wrong with any of them. Flats are great with any outfit and they come in any pattern you can think of. It is always good to have a good solid color and a nice pair with some sparkle or a wild animal print. 
Also the loafer style is very cool and looks great with a pair of jeans.

Colorful Pants

So ladies!! 


Remember when the first colored denim came out in stores like and people were just not too accepting of the change? Well I know I was completely opposed to the idea at least. 
My how things have changed!! 
I was walking around one of my favorite malls the other day ( Santa Monica Place) and found myself walking down the part I always try and avoid in fear of spending too much money..I actually try to avoid that mall most of the time because of all the great shops. Anyways, I was walking down the section with Joes Jeans and 7 for All Mankind as well as a few other favorites I should never ever go into with my wallet.
Unfortunately this time I had my wallet with me, or is it fortunately? Because had I not wondered in with the intention of purchasing some new pants I would not have tried anything on. 
I managed to walk past 7 and the others and had every intention of turning right to check out the shoe sale at Nordstrom....but there it was, my trap...Joes Jeans with what looked like an amazing rainbow of color on the back wall. 
I checked out some of the new fall collection including tops and jackets and some pretty awesome  animal print pants, then headed straight to the back. The wall was full of 55 choices in colored skinny jeans! It was amazing and I had so much fun trying all the colors on...
they fit great and are really slimming, I realize skinny jeans are not for everyone or every body type but if you can pull off skinny jeans you NEED at least 1 or 2 pairs of these. They are so flattering. 
for my Champaign friends.. I have found out that Bella Mia has ordered a couple colors and they will probably be in soon.

Please everyone remember! Colored jeans are okay, they are indeed pants and look great with most tops. ( I will get to that when I figure out what to wear besides a white T) 
Just MAKE SURE THEY FIT YOU PROPERLY! PLEASE. Skinny Jeans are not made for everyone and there are colored jeans in many other styles. 


Color pants are so in this year as well as prints and other fabrics! Good bye plain ole denim ( although still fantastic)
